Our Mission:
To be catalysts for the cultural enrichment
of the Community by presenting
Performing Arts programs to entertain and enrich all audiences; furthermore
the Society strives to foster interest and development of the arts in the
local school systems.
The Performing Arts Center:
The Center was opened
in December of 2000 as the newest renovation project
of the Eastern Howard School Corporation. The society rents the auditorium
located
at 421 South Harrison Street in Greentown, Indiana from the
corporation for adult and children's performances.
With only 823 seats, the
Center provides an intimate setting, along with acoustics that are superior to
other venues in the Midwest, and free parking. The center is wheelchair
accessible with easy access to parking,
the lobby, restrooms, and seating.
The Society:
The Eastern Howard Performing Arts Society
is a volunteer, non-profit
organization established in May, 1999 to promote performing arts in the
Community. The Society is governed by a board of thirty (30) directors. The
Society's office is currently located
at the theater box office at 421 South Harrison Street in Greentown, Indiana.
